Innovation hub: The Ontario College of Art and Design has announced its Inclusive Design Institute. This institute focuses on innovative and applied research that addresses digital inclusion for human diversity. OCAD's central IT organization provides the network and data centre infrastructure for this project. Inclusive Design

House hunting for UVic students: Two UVic students have written the Victoria Rental Map app. The tool helps student find housing rentals based on bus routes, price, and size. The application combs through local Victoria rental service databases and maps those rentals onto a street map of Victoria.  UVic Housing

New CIO: The University of Ottawa has hired Danielle Levasseur as their new CIO. Prior to joining uOttawa, Danielle was a consultant and had been the interim CIO at McGill. uOttawa CIO

Effective Twittering: Many colleges and universities now incude Twitter feeds to send out notices about service interruptions. The notices coming from Simon Fraser University are particularly effective in communicating these issues. SFU Twitter

Courseware access: Memorial University is offering free courseware access through lynda.com. Faculty, students, staff, and retirees will have access to over 1400 courses. Memorial Courseware
